Human Virome Program: Developing novel and innovative tools to interrogate and annotate the human virome (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This is an RFA for the NIH Common Fund Human Virome Program (HVP).

The Common Fund HVP aims to extensively characterize the human virome and create tools, models, methods that will enable in-depth study of its variation in relation to host factors and its influence on health and disease.

NOFO intends to address the technological and methodological challenges that are currently hindering robust interrogation into the constituents and functionality of the human virome.

It seeks application for the development of innovative and novel tools, models, and methods to overcome theses major challenges in identifying and characterizing viruses, as well as, development of computational biology and bioinformatics tools to enhance the analysis of the virome.
