Technical Assistance to United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to Support the Emergency Plan in the Implementation and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Treatment, and Support Activities for Mothers, Children, and Families under the President

Secretary’s Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS09-961CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Technical Assistance to United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to Support the Emergency Plan in the Implementation and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Treatment,


and Support Activities for Mothers, Children, and Families under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.” Approximately $400,000 will be available in FY2009 to fund approximately one award.

The purpose of the program is to provide technical assistance specific to the implementation and evaluation of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs, pediatric care and treatment, and protection and support of children affected by AIDS.
