Strengthening Laboratory Health Systems in the Dominican Republic to Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control HIV/AIDS Diagnostic Testing Under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The purpose of this program is to improve the quality of HIV testing in the Dominican Republic by providing technical assistance in:
1. The design and implementation of a national quality assurance and quality control program; 2. Adapting and implementing a process to validate laboratory reagents;


and 3. The development and implementation of protocols and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of public and private laboratories in the country.
