Oral Health of Special Needs and Older Populations (R01)

Purpose.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health, solicits grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose investigator-initiated clinical


research focused on the oral health of special needs populations, including those with developmental or acquired physical or mental disabilities, people with mental retardation (MR), people living with HIV/AIDS, and frail or functionally dependent elders.

Mechanism of Support.

This FOA will utilize the Research Project Grant (R01) award mechanism.

Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards.

Awards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications.
