$100,000 Grant to Hire Regional Fire District Consultant

Agency - Local Government Innovation Fund

The state’s Local Government Innovation Fund pumps out a $100,000 grant to be used to pay for a consultant who will carry on creating a regional fire district.


The four WCOG cities are Bay Village, Fairview Park, Rocky River and Westlake, which are proceeding with the vision of merging their fire departments. The establishment of a regional fire district will require legislation passed by each participating city.
