Anchor Pointe and Meinke Seeks $332,800 State Grant for Dredging Project

Anchor Pointe and Meinke members, in partnership with the Lucas County Commissioners, seek to secure a $332,800 grant to dredge the waterways.


The bid for the grant is prompted by the shallow water levels in the Cooley Canal that makes it impassable and unsafe for boats. The dredging will remove sediment buildup and make the place more accessible for people at Anchor Pointe, commercial fish businesses and many boaters.
