Approved Harbor Grant for Dredging Project

Washington Township has received an approved $5.182 million harbor grant to support a dredging project that involves cleaning out the federal navigation channel up to Detroit Harbor.


The federal channel leading to Detroit Harbor was not considered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to be a priority, so the town turned to the state for funding.
