Boys & Girls Clubs Receive $4.35 Million State Funds

The local organization is to receive its share of $400,000. State officials declare that it’s the largest grant ever received by the nonprofit organization. The organization offers free and cut-rate educational and recreational programs to thousands of at-risk Ohio youth.

Programs that investigate reports of child abuse, neglect or abandonment; that provide for the temporary placement of children who, for their own protection, have been removed from the custody of adults who are responsible for their care; that work with families who are experiencing a problem with the objective of facilitating continued family unification or reunification; and which provide ongoing supportive services for children in permanent placement.
