Cleburne County Secures $300,000 State Grant for Illegal Dumping Site Cleanup

Cleburne County has been awarded $300,000 grant from the state Department of Environmental Management to clean illegal dumping sites.


County officials will use the grant to create an environmental services program to serve municipalities within the county and unincorporated areas. Illegal dumping is punishable by law, with a minimum $250 fine and court costs.
