Columbiana County Port Authority Receives State Grant for Environmental Study

The Columbiana County Port Authority has been provided by the Ohio Controlling Board with a $183,000 grant to fund an environmental study.


The study will help in addressing any contamination that exists on the North Star Coal property situated along the Ohio River in downtown East Liverpool and adjacent to Seaforth Mineral & Ore. The grant, which comes from the Clean Ohio Assistance Fund, will also be used to pay for the costs of clean ups on the site.
