Corning City Council to Apply for a Grant

The Corning City Council voted to apply for a state grant that will fund upgrades at the historic Canfield Park on the city's Southside hill last thursday.


They will be submitting an application seeking a $109,972 matching grant to the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. According to City Manager Mark Ryckman, if the city is awarded a grant, a minimun of $36,658 must be raised locally for the project.
