First Herring Brook Receives $56,000 State Grant to Improve Fish Runs

A state grant valued at $56,000 aims to improve fish runs in the First Herring Brook to have fish return back to Scituate.


Scituate officials collaborated with the North and South River Watershed Association to continue managing the fish runs at present and during the proper biological seasons. A water ban implementation has been launched to restore gallons of water to the brook.
