Geology Faculty at UW-Eau Claire Scores $451,000 State Grant

UW-Eau Claire geology faculty received a $451,000 state grant to institute a "responsible mining" initiative to deal with the growth of mining in Wisconsin.


The grant is part of the 12 two-year grants, totaling $22.5 million, issued to UW-System schools aimed at developing economic growth and building a better workforce in the state. The grant money also will be used to develop paid internships for geology students.
