Lake Macquarie City Council Receives $30,000 Grant for Research

Lake Macquarie City Council receives $30,000 state grant to work in partnership with community groups to preserve and conserve its diverse Belmont wetlands.


The grant will be matched by the council, which will go towards initial research into how the wetlands can be protected. According to Trust chairman Greg Wright, the wetlands are "part of what makes the area so rich and vital" and the funding will help in the preservation of the wetlands they support.
