Maehr Road Bridge Seeks Funding for Replacement

Agency - Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program

The 83-year-old Maehr Road Bridge will be replaced through the federal Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program (HBRRP).


The joint federal-state bridge program will help the local government replace, repair and restore aging and deficient bridges. However, four other McLennan County bridges are awaiting replacement since lack of funding kept the state from regarding the county’s other deficient bridges in recent projects.
