The Massachusetts Department of Conservation awards a $47,000 grant to the Schooner Ernestina through a matching grant. The Schooner Ernestina Morrissey Association had matched the grant with the initial $23,500.


The grant will be used to work on the historic vessel's mast and rigging. They will replace the foremast and repair the main mast and complete the rigging repair and maintenance needed for the vessel.
