New Castle Acquires State Grant for Once-A-Week Garbage Collection Program

New Castle Township has been rendered a portion of the more than $12 million in Local Government Performance and Efficiency Program (LGPEP) grant allocation.


The grants are disseminated to towns and counties that have projects producing annual savings to taxpayers. New Castle has been recognized for its once-a-week garbage collection program that curbs waste and promotes recycling. The town garnered $194,313.14 in total.
