Opelousas City Marshal Receives $8,000 Grant for Police Band Radios

The Opelousas City Marshal Office, the law enforcement arm of the Opelousas City Court, receives an $8,000 grant to acquire new police band radios.


The police band radios are crucial for law enforcement officers who are working warrants and for keeping tabs with other agencies during operations. The new band radio brand is a Motorola XTS 2500 700-megahertz that comes with multiple bands.
