Port of Sunnyside Receives $300,000 State Grant for Carnation Plant Clean Up

The old Carnation industrial milk processing plant in the Port of Sunnyside will receive a $300,000 state grant to protect the environment and to attract new businesses and jobs to the community by cleaning up contamination.


The port will commence the clean up in this spring and anticipates to complete the work by 2015. The $300,000 in funding for the project comes from the Washington Department of Ecology.
