Shafnet House Gains State Grant for Restoration

Agency - Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs

The J.J. Shafnet House, a historic 130-year-old house in Muscatine, will be undergoing restoration funded by a $20,000 state grant.


The funding came from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, which was part of a statewide grant awarded to 35 organizations and individuals. The Friends of Muscatine Historic Preservation will help with the restoration project.
