State Grant to Help Dane County Fight Opiate Abuse

Dane County will receive a $80,000 in state grant to fight opiate abuse in the region.


The grant will augment the district attorney’s diversion program by establishing a counselor to deal with opiate addiction and its users. The Office of Equal Opportunity worked with the county’s Criminal Justice Council to apply for the grant.
