State Grant to be Used For Smoking Ban

Public health officials are planning to use part of the $450,000 state grant to persuade landlords to ban smoking in their buildings.


The grant will also be used to help fund a program that will put farm-fresh vegetables in schools and another program that will encourage schools, governments, and community groups to share available spaces that could increase physical activity for kids.
