Sunlight Foundation, a nonprofit that uses the Internet to mobilize greater government openness and transparency, announces its "OpenGov Grants" program.

The program provides grant awards to qualified startups and developers that are identified as "civic-minded." The program focuses on helping developers create something that will boost the quality of civic life, through government transparency. The grants will range from $5000-$10,000.
