Wilson County Committee Gets Historic Preservation Fund Grant

The Wilson County Black History Committee picks up a $22,200 Historic Preservation Fund Grant to continue with the restoration of the Pickett Chapel in Lebanon and renovate it as a museum.

The grant will be matched with funds through a fundraising event. The Harvest Wine & Cheese event will raise $20,000 for the East Market Street chapel, where the committee wants to relocate its Roy Bailey African-American Museum.
