Organic Certification Cost Share Program

The USDA aims to strengthen market support for U. S. agriculture by offering Organic Certification Cost Share Program grants that reduce the cost of organic certification by reimbursing organic producers for 75% of their certification costs up to a maximum of $750 per certification category per year.

The Agricultural Management Assistance Organic Certification Cost Share Program, authorized by the Federal Crop Insurance Act of 2001, provides $ 1. 5M of certification cost share assistance to organic producers in 16 states (Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
