Primary Care Training and Enhancement: Physician Assistant Rural Training in Behavioral Health (PCTE-PARB) Program

This program’s purpose is to develop clinical rotations for primary care Physician Assistant (PA) students in rural areas.

These rotations must be at least three months long.

They will integrate behavioral health with primary care services.

This program addresses PA training

credit:


for behavioral health conditions.

These include prevention, identification, diagnosis, treatment, and referral services.

The goal is to increase the number of PAs trained to deliver these services in rural areas, including Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

Only an academically affiliated physician assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) may apply.To be eligible, your organization must be in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U. S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau.
