Process and Technology Improvement Grants

Section 11(t), Grants for Simple Application and Eligibility Determination Systems and Improved Access to Benefits, of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, as amended, authorizes the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to award up to $5 million annually in grants to State agencies*; public health or educational


entities; or private nonprofit entities, such as community-based or faith-based organizations, food banks, or other emergency feeding organizations, for projects aimed at simplifying the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) application and eligibility determination systems or improving access to SNAP benefits by eligible households.
