This program is authorized by 34 U.S.C.

§ 1242 1. The Training and Services to End Abuse in Later Life Program (Abuse in Later Life Program) (CFDA # 1 6. 528) supports a comprehensive approach to addressing abuse in later life, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault,

stalking, neglect, abandonment, economic abuse, or willful harm committed against victims who are 50 years of age or older (hereinafter "older victims").

What’s New About this OVW Program Eligibility:
Population specific organizations no longer have to demonstrated experience in assisting individuals over 50 years of age.

Legal assistance:
Grantees may propose providing legal services in their strategic plans.

The amount used to support legal assistance is capped at 20 percent of outreach and service funds.

Grantees proposing to provide legal services must submit legal assistance certification with their strategic plan.
