Translating Socioenvironmental Influences on Neurocognitive Development and Addiction Risk (TranSINDA) (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The goal of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to seek applications proposing team-science research projects aimed at longitudinal research designs in animal models and advanced neuroscience and theoretical tools to elucidate mechanisms mediating the impact of the early-life social environment


on neurobehavioral development and the risk for substance use disorders (SUD) and their comorbidities in adolescence and adulthood.

The supported projects will be informed by SUD research in humans and animal models, and theories and methods in areas such as cognitive development, developmental psychobiology, and developmental neuroscience.
