Fiscal Year 2020 Request for Applications for Development Food Security Activities in Ethiopia

Please find attached the Draft Fiscal Year 2020 (FY 2020) Request for Applications (RFA) for Development Food Security Activities (DFSA) in Ethiopia for review and comment.

The Office of Food for Peace (FFP) is not requesting the submission of applications at this time.

programmatic information for this solicitation can be found directly within the Draft RFA and referenced attachments.

The FY 2020 DFSA RFA for Ethiopia is currently in draft and subject to change.

USAID reserves the right to adjust the number of awards, funding levels, and sources of funding.

In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, USAID/FFP recognizes the related difficulties that applicants may face.

As part of this review and comment process, USAID/FFP is also interested in receiving information on the challenges that may affect application preparation and suggestions for mitigating these challenges.

Additionally, USAID/FFP plans to convene a virtual DFSA RFA solicitation briefing while the RFA is in the draft stage.

The solicitation briefing will be open to the public and the exact date for this briefing will be communicated at a later date.

Please note that no USAID/FFP officers nor field representatives should be contacted about the information contained in the draft RFA materials.

As stated in the draft RFA, all comments and inquiries should be directed via email to FY20-DFSA-RFA-Ethiopia@usaid.gov.

Comments on the draft FY 2020 DFSA RFA for Ethiopia are due on May 15, 2020 at noon (Eastern Daylight Time).

However, please do not wait until the last day to submit your consolidated comments and inquiries.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
To be considered for a Title II-funded award, the applicant must be a PVO, PVO consortium, or an organization designated by USAID as a PIO.

PVOs may include U. S. and non-U.S.NGOs as defined in the Food for Peace Act.

Per the Food for Peace Act, universities are not eligible to apply as primes for any Title II-funded activity.

Universities can be sub-awardees or members of a consortium at the discretion of the prime applicant.
