college;a currently operating Women’s Business Center under § 29 of the SmallBusiness Act; or a combination of two or more of these entities and mustconduct a majority of its operations within the CNMI.The SBDC program is the SBA’s largest matching grant program, funding aservice delivery network to provide high quality business and economicdevelopment assistance to small businesses and nascent entrepreneurs in orderto promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity, andmanagement improvement.

The SBDCs, in partnership with SBA’s Office ofSmall Business Development Centers(OSBDC) and SBA District Offices, develop programs and provide businessmanagement and other services that enhance the economic development goalsand objectives of SBA and their other respective state and local fundingpartners.

The SBDC program is a broad-based system of assistance for thesmall business community that links the resources of Federal, state and localgovernments with those of the educational community and the private sector.Although SBA is responsible for the general management and oversight of theSBDC program, a partnership exists between SBA and the recipient organizationto effectuate the delivery of assistance to the small business community.Questions about this Notice of Funding Opportunity should be directed to theOffice of Small Business Development Centers at SBDCGrantsq@sba.gov.
