FY 2025 HMEP Planning and Training Grant for Tribes



The HMEP Grant Program is authorized under 49 U.S.C.

§ 5116 and provides federal financial and technical assistance to states, territories, and federally recognized tribes to increase local effectiveness in safely and efficiently handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in accidents and incidents.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligibility is open to all Afghan and international organizations and companies operating in Afghanistan with direct experience organizing large scale conferences or events, and a proven track record of success implementing projects in Afghanistan.

Organizations must demonstrate current country registration license (if applicable), competent programmatic ability, and be able to meet reporting requirements.

International organizations that do not have a branch office in Afghanistan are required to partner with an Afghan organization.
