Strengthening Nigeria Police Force’s Lawful Detention Procedures

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U. S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out the “Strengthening Nigeria Police Force Lawful Detention Procedures” project.

This project will promote

the Nigeria Police Force’s (NPF’s) adherence to the legal provisions provided for in Nigeria’s Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and the Nigeria Police Act 2020 as it concerns detention of persons.

This will enhance transparency, accountability, due process, and protection of human rights within the police detention system.
