Civil Society Support to Anticorruption and Criminal Justice Institutions

Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U. S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit a statement of interest (SOI) for the purpose of implementing programs aimed at providing assistance and support to Ukrainian anti-corruption and criminal


justice institutions in their mission to uphold the rule of law, combat corruption, and ensure a fair and legal system for the benefit of the Ukrainian people and society.

The project proposals should be aimed at fostering the further development of a corruption-free society, promoting civil society engagement in criminal justice and anticorruption reforms, implementing digital solutions, and advancing professionalism, accountability, and transparency within the criminal justice and anti-corruption sectors.

Project activities may encompass advocacy campaigns, hard and soft-skills training workshops, summer schools as well as national and international expert support and mentoring programs for criminal justice and anti-corruption professionals.

Additionally, project activities may focus on executing anti-corruption watchdog functions, drafting legislative frameworks, conducting advocacy campaigns for anti-corruption reforms, developing IT solutions, conducting analytical research to identify corruption trends in particular sectors and devising solutions, providing communication services or building capacities of the key anti-corruption stakeholders to better communicate with the society.

Project activities may be conducted in cooperation with Ukrainian and foreign anti-corruption institutions and non-governmental organizations.
