The USAID Community Health Activity will support priority populations and communities, community organizations and networks, and public- or private-sector actors that work in partnership with civil society at the community level, in the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of activities aimed


at achieving the purpose of increasing the adoption and sustained uptake of priority health behaviors, services, and products.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
