Notice of Intent to Award to La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians

Hydro-Geologic StudyMap the hydro-geology of the La Jolla Reservation (Reservation) and determine where test wells should be drilled.

Complete a Fracture-Trace Analysis of faults and fractures on and near the Reservation that may indicate potential water sources.

Complete a Very Low Frequency

(VLF) and/or similar geophysical sensing, to investigate sub-surface geological structures.

Perform field work as needed to create vegetation-free areas for the VLF and electro-magneto telluric analysis.Test Well DrillingPrepare the test well sites.

Drill up to 10 Test Wells.

May perform pumping tests and water quality analysis for selected wells with potential for good water.

Prepare well reports with drilling logs and pump test results.

Perform NEPA studies of the Test Well sites.Develop Groundwater Water WellsReam out selected test wells to a larger diameter.

Perform pumping tests for selected water wells.

Perform Title 22 water quality analysis for water wells.

Properly abandon any test wells that are not productive.
