Fiscal Year 2010 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program (IECGP)

IECGP is a grant program created by the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 (Public Law 110-53).

IECGP is administered by the FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Emergency Communications.

In Fiscal Year 2010, $48,000,000 is appropriated for IECGP grants to States and territories by the Department of Homeland Security Act, 2010 (Public Law 111-83).

The eligible applicants for this grant program are the SAAs of the 56 States and territories.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
The Governor of each State and territory is required to designate a State Administrative Agency (SAA) to apply for and administer the funds awarded under IECGP.

The SAA is the only entity eligible to apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for IECGP funds.
