Since 1996, in partnership with industry associations, universities and other government agencies, EPA has supported the development and maintenance of the Compliance Assistance Centers (Center Program) and Center resources.
Each Center is targeted to a specific industry, group of industries,

local government, or Federal facilities, and explains in plain language, environmental regulations that apply to that sector and offers technical assistance on compliance.
Currently, four cooperative agreements supporting the Centers are in place.
These agreements expire between April 2017 and September 201 7. EPA is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants to manage the Center Program.
Specifically, EPA is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants to present innovative and effective approaches and partnerships that will support existing Center websites and resources and address the long-term financial security of the Centers as EPA funding is reduced over time.
