This project is the continuation of a long-term monitoring and research effort to examine the subsistence harvest of migratory birds in Alaska.

Initially this cooperative agreement is just being funded to continue ongoing field harvest monitoring surveys statewide within Alaska.

By partnering with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, the Alaska Migratory Bird Co-Mgt Council is provided with unique resources, including an intimate knowledge of subsistence harvest monitoring techniques in Alaska, past monitoring efforts, and the current survey emphasis, that will allow this project to be completed efficiently and successfully
