The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U. S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $5,000,000 total costs (subject to the availability of Federal funds) for one cooperative agreement to fund a technical assistance project, in Zambia, to reduce
credit:
child labor and forced labor in critical mineral producing communities.
The project will seek to increase capacity of government and increase resiliency of vulnerable households in critical mineral producing communities to address child labor and forced labor.
The applicant must select two or more of the following critical mineral producing provinces:
Northwestern, Copperbelt, Central and/or Luapula.
The project will aim to achieve the following outcomes:
Outcome 1:
Increased capacity of government to address child labor and forced labor in critical mineral producing communities.
Outcome 2:
Increased resiliency of members of vulnerable households in communities producing critical minerals.
