The overall goal of both the Lead and the Healthy Homes Technical Studies programs is to gain knowledge to improve the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of methods for evaluation and control of lead-based paint and other housing related health and safety hazards.

Additional Information of Eligibility:Academic and non-profit institutions located in the United States, state and units of local government and federally recognized Native American tribes are eligible under all existing authorizations.
For-profit firms also are eligible; however, they are not allowed to earn a profit from the grant.
Applications to supplement existing projects are eligible to compete with applications for new awards.
Neither Federal agencies nor individuals are eligible to submit applications.
