The VITA initiative is to provide financial assistance to credit unions wishing to help existing and potential members prepare their tax returns, especially those eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

This grant is NOT available to individuals, businesses, or not-for-profits.
Only credit unions that have received a low-income designation from the NCUA or from the state supervisory authority, with NCUA concurrence, are eligible.
