Hazardous Fuels Reducation with Point Reyes NS & Golden Gate NRA

United State Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award.

This is not a request for applications.

This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition

credit:


to Marin County Fire Department (MCFD), to collaboratively work with the NPS and continue the long term partnership that promotes wildland fuels reduction, outreach, and education.

The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications.

Additionally, MCFD is a long-term key partner in wildland fire fuels reduction.

They are a local cooperating agency that does not have any special housing or camping needs compared, and are local and familiar with all Park policies and regulations.

In addition, the education as well as the interagency and public cooperative management opportunities makes a cooperative arrangement with MCFD mutually beneficial for both the MCFD and the NPS.

Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education; other nonprofits; commercial organizations; foreign governments; organizations under the jurisdiction of foreign governments; international organizations; state, local and Indian tribal Governments; and Federal agencies.

PLEASE NOTE: Before non-NOAA Federal applicants may be funded, they must demonstrate that they have legal authority to receive funds from another Federal agency in excess of their appropriation.

Because this announcement is not proposing to procure goods or services from applicants, the Economy Act (31 USC 1535) is not an appropriate legal basis.
