Exploratory Grant Award to Promote Workforce Diversity in Basic Cancer Research (R21 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) represents the continuation of an NCI program to enhance the diversity of the pool of the cancer research workforce by recruiting and supporting eligible junior investigators and Early Stage Investigators from groups that have been shown to be nationally underrepresented

in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences.

This funding opportunity will also provide a bridge to investigators who have completed their research training and may need extra time to develop a larger research project grant application.
