Democracy Commission Small Grants Program 2024

The Embassy of the United States in North Macedonia announces an open competition for organizations/independent media to submit a statement of interest (SOI) to carry out a program (or programs) that support the development of democratic institutions.

The FY 2024 program has five priority areas:
1)


Strengthen democratic values, including security, anti-corruption, good governance, and transparency in elections; 2) Bolster civil society, foster volunteerism or activism in local communities; 3) Addressing social division, encourage social cohesion and/or combat intolerance; 4) Cyber security, media literacy, and/or anti-disinformation efforts focused on sustainable results; and 5) Environmental and health-focused initiatives.
