This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications.

This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of Reclamation's intention to fund the following project without full and open competition:
Gravity Monitoring of the Lower Santa Cruz River Enhanced Potential Recharge

credit:

Study.

The project will examine possible increased recharge from diverting effluent into dry channels.

Feedback from the project would be incorporated into the planning and design of a permanent Constructed Recharge Facility to increase recharge of effluent and accrue a higher percentage of long-term storage credits to meet the objectives of the SAWRSA.

Reclamation has planned several approaches to monitor stream channel loss and document project success.

This project will study the ability of using ground based relative gravity meters to directly measure changes in subsurface water storage and will be issued pursuant to the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) master agreement.
