USAID Growth Through Nutrition Activity

The purpose of this Request for Application (RFA) is to solicit applications from eligible applicants to award a five-year, maximum of $73 million, Cooperative Agreement for USAID’s Growth through Nutrition Activity with the goal of reducing malnutrition in Ethiopia.

This Activity will enhance

the capacity of the selected Recipient to provide technical support to Government of Ethiopia (GOE) agencies and other partners to implement well-coordinated multi-sector nutrition interventions.

Support for Growth through Nutrition is derived from multiple funding streams:
nutrition (~50 percent), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) (~30 percent), and agriculture (~20 percent).

A flexible funding mechanism (Crisis Modifier) is also built into the Activity to enable the Recipient to rapidly respond to food security emergencies in its target areas.
