The U. S. Department of State (DoS) announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs (WHA) Race, Ethnicity, and Social Inclusion (RESI) Goals with up to $1,973,35 9. 00 in Fiscal Year 2023 Economic Support Funds (ESF) for a project period of 36 months.

Activities


will support WHA’s RESI policy goals in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico to advance reforms that promote equity and equality, eliminate barriers to inclusion, and create equal access and opportunities for members of marginalized and underserved communities.

Weston Mill-based social enterprise Surplus Rescue CIC (Community Interest Company) recycles and finds homes for unwanted furniture. To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
