The U. S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), intends to award, through a competitive and merit-based process, one or more cooperative agreements to organizations to implement projects that aim to reduce child labor through educational and training opportunities

for target children and to promote sustainable livelihoods for their households.
USDOL/ILAB intends to obligate up to $10 million for project(s) to reduce child labor in Tanzania.
Projects to be funded will address the following strategic areas:
1) Education, 2) Livelihoods, 3) Social Protection, 4) Youth Employment, 5) Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Policies, 6) Raising Awareness, and/or 7) Supporting Research, Evaluation and Collection of Reliable Data on Child Labor.
ILAB intends to solicit cooperative agreement applications from qualified organizations.
The forthcoming SGA will be published at a later date.
The SGA will remain open for at least 45 days from the date of publication.
All cooperative agreement awards will be made on or before December 31, 201 2. All inquiries regarding this notice should reference NOI-Tanzania 1. When posted, the solicitation will cite the applicable SGA number.
Information on specific target groups, sectors, geographic regions, and funding levels for the potential projects in the countries/regions listed above will be addressed in the posted solicitation for grant application (SGA).
