Community Package of High-Impact Interventions

USAID/Benin will award up to five cooperative agreements to local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) over a period of three years.

The agreements will build on previous and current successes in integrated community-based service delivery to promote optimal health behaviors and quality services.

The


recipients also will embrace USAID Forward procurement reforms by enhancing local ownership through capacity building and working closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH), municipal or local authorities, and civil society.

In compliance with the National Guidance on PIHI and USAID/Benin health strategies, NGO projects will focus primarily on the following technical areas:
• Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) • Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) • Malaria • Water and sanitation • Improved health practices and health-seeking behaviors

Additional Information of Eligibility:
To be eligible to receive this Cooperative Agreement, prime applicants must: • Be organized under the laws of the recipient country; • Have its principal place of business in the recipient country; • Be majority owned by individuals who are citizens or lawful permanent residents of the recipient country or be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are citizens or lawful permanent residents of a recipient country; and • Not be controlled by a foreign entity or by an individual or individuals who are not citizens or permanent residents of the recipient country.
